I have been practicing different kinds of yoga since I was 20 years old. In 2019, I finally decided to get certified as a Vinyasa Yoga and Yoga Nidra teacher with yoga elder Tandy Pengelly, at La Pause Yoga, a school that is registered with the internationally recognised World Yoga Alliance. In my eyes, yoga is a lifestyle, and it helps me to deal with life's ups and downs. Yoga is synonymous to flexibility and balance, in life as in sports. I used to work as a scuba diving instructor in Vietnam and in the Andaman islands, but our current location does not allow me to go diving every day. Thanks to Yoga Nidra and a regular meditation practice, I am finding back to a little of that harmony that I used to love under the water surface....I also find that a daily yoga practice is a great complement to other physical activities. I love running and usually train for a yearly marathon partly by going running with our dog D'Artagnan several times a week. To practice yoga after each run, and to finish with a moment in the sauna and/or a swim in our pool makes me feel light and keeps my muscles and joints strong and healthy. On a final note, I am also somebody who enjoys a good bottle of wine, I love cooking and eating healthy, varied and colourful meatless meals, and I listen with great interest to Ophelie's advice regarding wine pairing!
